Gong Hyo Jin and Jo Jung Suk are Full of Compliments at “Incarnation of Jealousy” Press Conference

SBS held a press conference for it’s upcoming drama “Incarnation of Jealousy” on August 22nd, and of course the stars were all full of smiles. I don’t particularly care for Gong’s outfit. I know she is not the typical leading lady, and can pull off any look with her down to earth personality, but this is not one of her best looks. The dress was ill fitting and looked clownish. The pink Gucci shoes would have been fine by themselves, but paired with socks made it look strange and out of season. However, she is still queen Gong Hyo Jin, so no one will hold this against her.

One of the highlights of the conference was when Jo Jung Suk confessed that one of the reasons he picked this project, was because he wanted the opportunity to work with Gong. He said “The reason I selected this work is because I love writer Seo Sook Hyang and Gong Hyo Jin so much. I couldn’t not select this drama after learning that the two of them would also be working on it. I’m working hard on the drama’s filming right now.” This isn’t the first time one of Gong’s leading men confessed to picking a drama because they wanted to work with her. So Ji Sub said that one of the reasons he picked “Master’s Sun” back in 2013, was because he also really wanted to work with the actress.

Jo Jung Suk also said that he would not categorize this drama as a straight romantic comedy. The actor said that the series really focuses on conveying natural feelings of envy people experience. Jo stated “What’s great about our drama as compared to other dramas is that it uniquely expresses the feeling of envy and jealousy that everyone experiences no matter their gender or age. I don’t necessarily want to label it a ‘romantic comedy’ genre but I do think that it is a special kind of romantic comedy.”

Romantic comedy or not, people will be tuning in regardless. “Reincarnation of Jealousy” will premier on August 24th.
