Infinite’s L, who also goes by his real name Kim Myung Soo when acting, snagged his first leading role in a Korean drama. L is not a newbie to the acting world, having supporting roles in dramas like “The Time I Loved You”, “My Lovely Girl” and “Cunning Single Lady. He has quite a following, and fans have been rooting for him to do a lead for quite some time. L will finally make those wishes come true, by accepting the lead role in “The Day After We Parted”.
The drama is a four episode series, in which L will play Yoo Tak, a lead vocalist in an indie band. Hmm…this doesn’t sound too far off from his Kpop career. Yoo Tak will accidentally travel back in time, where he will attempt to win back an old girlfriend. L’s agency stated that “L has recently been cast in KBS 2TV’s ‘The Day After WeParted’. It is a four-episode drama. L is working hard to improve his acting”.
I knew this was coming. I am not surprised he landed this role. He is quite talented and comes across well on screen. I am just a bit taken back that it is only a four hour drama. Perhaps this is the agency’s way of testing the waters to see what kind of a response he receives for his first leading role. He does bad boy roles very well. I am quite prepared to see him in a regular drama in the near future.
“The Day After We Parted” will be directed by Song Hyun Wook (“Another Oh Hae Young”) and will premier sometime in October.
